Now and again, we will be putting up patch releases to fix critical issues / certain major issues. These patch releases, do not go through the regular SQA
round. However they are not expected to be as unstable as development snapshots because the changes in these patches are limited to a small area of the
code and we do test the area of code that has got changed.
Use these patch releases only if you have been affected by the issues that have been fixed in these patches. If you have not encountered those issues or you have
workarounds for those issues, we strongly recommend you not to wait till the next 'tested' release is made.

Patch Name = 20061004 Release Date = 4th October 2006 Download URL = http://openqa.org/wet/downloads/0.9.8/patches/wet_0.9.8_p20061004.zip Issues Addressed: WET-252 - On certain installations you get an error form (xmltreeview resize- null reference exception) and WET doesn't start WET-217 - XML RPC client doesn't retry if operation failed. WET-245- Cancel was ignored when exit tray application was called. WET-239- Labels containing return character, backslash (\) & double quote (") are NOT properly prefixed with proper escape characters Install Instructions 1) Exit the WET Tray Manager Icon. To do so find the WET Tray icon, right click and Click 'Exit'. When asked for confirmation, do confirm by pressing "Yes' 2) Unzip the files in the patch archive to When asked to confirm if you want to overwrite existing files, say 'YES' 3) Start the RPC Tray Icon by saying "Start->Qantom->WET->Rpc Manager". Wait for 3-4 minutes.Now right click on the WET Tray Icon and say Check RPC Server. You should get a message that says "RPC Server is up and running" 4) Now start WET and verify that it works. |
